Philippians 3:20-21

Know Your Worth
Sometimes people can become their own worst enemy. They listen to all the lies that Satan tells them about how they are not good enough, smart enough, or charming enough to be worthy of God’s love. They allow other people’s opinions to affect how they feel about themselves and when that happens fear and insecurity take over. That kind of thinking is dangerous. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, “Be careful what you think because your thoughts run your life.” What you tell yourself becomes who you are, how you feel, what you do, and how you live. If you tell yourself that you won’t succeed, guess what? You won’t succeed. If you think negative thoughts, you’ll always see the glass half empty. There will always be someone who won’t see your worth–don’t let it be you! Surround yourself with positive people. In fact, be so positive that negative people won’t want to be around you! Live your life with confidence that you are a beloved child of the King of the Universe and allow Jesus to shine through you. It’s hard to be a shining example of Christ if you are moping around, carrying a boatload of negativity. Someone once said, “Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character because it becomes your destiny.” The Bible says in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” The only way to live a life of purity is to enter into oneness with God–thinking only good thoughts, not only about others, but about yourself as well. The quality of your thoughts will determine the quality of your life, so guard your mind. Don’t listen to negativity, gossip, or whatever evil the devil wants you to believe.
