Servant Leadership
What the world needs is more principled leaders and less blind followers. Too many people are willing to just go along with the crowd instead of taking a stand and following their own convictions. A good leader leads by example. The old expression, “Do as I say, not as I do” doesn’t really work for anyone because actions speak louder than words. Christian leaders show patience, kindness, compassion, and strength to make the right decisions. Another critical trait for a leader is to be humble. Share the credit for success with others, but take the blame for failures - alone. Leadership isn’t about being a “show pony.” Author and speaker Simon Sinek once said, “The role of a leader is not to come up with all the great ideas. The role of a leader is to create an environment in which great ideas can happen.” Give others room to shine - and they will. When your faith is put to the test, be a leader with integrity. It’s much better to stand with God and be condemned by the world than to stand with the world and be condemned by God. When Jesus was here on earth, He set a good example of servant leadership. He wasn’t concerned about His title or position but rather always kept in mind His heavenly purpose. He was always thinking of others, never about Himself. God is calling for everyone to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and lead by sacrificially serving others with His love - in other words, be a “servant leader.”
Romans 8:28
‘And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.’
