Smooth Moves Ranch is, first and foremost, a family. Founded by Tim and Heather Martin, our ranch is built on a shared passion for horses, a deep commitment to helping others, and a life rooted in faith, resilience, and love. Together, Tim and Heather have a blended family of seven children, four boys and three girls, who remain a central part of their lives, even as most have grown and begun building lives of their own. While only two of their children still live at home, the values that shaped their family, hard work, compassion, responsibility, and faith, continue to guide everything they do at the ranch. Life’s journey has brought both challenges and blessings, each playing a role in shaping the heart behind Smooth Moves Ranch. Through it all, Tim and Heather have learned the importance of perseverance, leaning on one another, and finding purpose through service. These experiences are what led them to create not just a ranch, but a place where others can come to heal, connect, and grow. Horses are at the center of daily life. Specializing in Paso Fino horses, Smooth Moves Ranch is home to animals known for their smooth gait, intelligence, and gentle nature. Through their nonprofit, the SMR Wellness Center, Tim and Heather extend that sense of family to the broader community. Their mission is to create a safe, welcoming environment where individuals and families can experience healing, restoration, and hope through meaningful interactions with horses and nature.
