Some people are filled with so much trepidation and anxiety that they spend their entire lives trapped and isolated by fear. They are too afraid to do anything or go anywhere because they’re terrified they will get hurt, do something wrong, be embarrassed, or a million other reasons. Fear is an enemy that literally destroys lives. It keeps you from exploring new relationships, job opportunities, fun activities, new adventures, or anything else. Living in fear is the opposite of living by faith and when you allow it to take control, it will take you further and further away from God. In Psalm 56:3, David writes about how he handles fear: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Fighting fear is not a: one and done act, but rather putting continual trust in God. It is only by putting your faith in Jesus that you can conquer fear. When faced with fear, you have one of two options: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. The choice is yours! Choose to put your faith and trust in Jesus and “rise!” When He is by your side, you have nothing to be afraid of. In 1 Chronicles 28:20, David counseled his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you . . .” What a beautiful promise to claim for your own. No matter what you are going through, trust in Jesus, and allow faith to stomp out fear!

2 Timothy 1:7,
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7, NASB)
Luke 12:22-26,
22 And He said to His disciples, "For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!
25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life's span?
26 If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters? (Luke 12:22, NASB)
Psalm 27:1,
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread? (Psalms 27:1, NASB)

14 "Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel; I will help you," declares the LORD, "and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 41:13, NASB)
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10, NASB)
