Is God Real?
As a Christian, you praise God for His goodness, grace and mercy. But the minute tragedy strikes you start to question, “Why did God let this happen to me?” If you are not clinging to Jesus with unshakable faith, then you may start to doubt God and wonder if He is “real,” and does He really love you. People may even be so desperate to have their prayers answered their way that they often bargain with God. “If you will heal my child, I’ll serve you for the rest of my life”; “If you will give me that promotion, I’ll pay my tithe faithfully from now on”; “If you will save my marriage, I’ll be faithful for the rest of my life.” And if our prayers are not answered the way we want, and when we want - we blame God! But God doesn’t want us to bargain with Him or try and tell Him how to answer our prayers. He wants us to trust Him that He knows best and will answer our prayers accordingly. Make no mistake: God IS real and He knows you better than anyone else, including yourself. If you are questioning if God hears your prayers, knows who you are, and cares about the crisis you are facing, then ask God to reveal Himself to you. If you are sincerely seeking God, He will make His existence known to you. Pray for more faith to not only believe in God, but to trust Him completely. God never said, “Understand Me.” He said, “Trust Me.” We may not understand why our loved one passed away or why a relationship ended, but we can trust in God’s perfect will. If we knew the end from the beginning, we would never want it any other way than God’s way! You can trust that God will not send you on a mission that He hasn’t prepared you for or give you a task that you’re unable to handle. The Bible says in John 15:7, “If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” If God says “wait awhile,” have faith that He knows what He’s doing. Don’t give up or look for shortcuts – be patient and trust the process! Just because you don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean God is not working. Make Jesus your Best Friend and put your full faith and trust in Him. Friendship with God is reserved for those who love Him, revere Him, and trust Him. God IS real, so trust His perfect plan, and in His perfect timing He will share the secrets of His promises. TEXT: Psalm 9:10, Psalm 33:20-22, Romans 8:28, Isaiah 26:3-4
