Is Life Worthwhile?

Christians never have to ask, "Is life worthwhile," because one of the greatest benefits of walking with Jesus, is you have a goal and a purpose! Without God, life is dreary, dismal and things seem, well, hopeless but when you give your heart to Jesus, you look at life in a whole new light. Filled with the Holy Spirit, God will lead and guide, giving you many “divine appointments.” Working for Jesus is the most rewarding and fulfilling work you can do! Your life is definitely “worthwhile!” And when powered by the Holy Spirit you’ll receive strength to face your own problems "head on," knowing with full confidence that Christ is by your side fighting the battle for you! There’s no need to push the panic button, for when you are weak – God is strong. What a tremendous blessing being a child of God where you can confidently face each day knowing that God is leading in your life, and you are safe in the arms of Jesus!

Text:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;

17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, (Ephesians 6:10-19, ESV)

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 2:1, ESV)

9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10, ESV)
